On Thursday, officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to a home near 56th and Holdrege streets for a welfare check.
Members of Henman’s family asked police to check on her because she hadn’t called or shown up to work for two days, court documents say.
Officers found Henman inside the home, and she was “clearly deceased with traumatic and fatal injuries,” according to an affidavit.

Henman and Meyers were both found in the home’s basement.
Police said Meyers had what appeared to be self-inflicted injuries and was the only other person found inside the home.
Meyers told police he had been struck in the head, and he was taken to the hospital, according to court documents.
At the hospital, Meyers told police he was not able to account for anything after 5 p.m. on Oct. 21.
He said he remembered walking down the stairs to the basement and nothing after that, according to the affidavit.

Later that day, police searched the home and found a pair of jeans with blood on them.
According to the affidavit, a brown wallet with Meyers’ ID was found in the jeans.
On Friday, Meyers was able to provide specific details about the scene and the injuries that led to Henman’s death, information only the assailant would know, police said.
On Saturday, Meyers was released from the hospital and arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
