Lincoln Police investigating attempted kidnapping of 12-year-old girl

Lincoln Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that occurred Saturday. 

Police say a 12-year-old girl was riding a skateboard near 6th and Garfield around 9 p.m. when a man got out of a pickup and grabbed her arm. 

LPD says the girl screamed and the man – who the girl did not know – left without saying anything. Authorities said the girl was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 30-40 years old, heavy set with short grey hair. He was driving a white cab pickup with a black box.
