Lincoln Airport lands new Breeze routes to Las Vegas, Orange County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Breeze Airways is doubling down on Lincoln, announcing direct flights to Las Vegas and one-stop service to Orange County.
Starting April 8, 2026, the new flights will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays to Las Vegas.
Passengers can stay on the plane for “BreezeThru” service to John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
These new routes connect Lincoln travelers to two of the nation’s most popular leisure and business destinations with no plane change.
The addition of these new destinations comes before Breeze’s inaugural nonstop to Orlando in December, signaling the airline’s confidence in the Lincoln market.
“Adding new destinations before our nonstop flights to MCO (Orlando) have even launched shows that Breeze believes in Lincoln,” said Rachel Barth, Director of Air Service Development and Strategic Marketing for Lincoln Airport. “This route gives our region convenient, affordable access to more leisure destinations and demonstrates that Lincoln is winning the confidence of the nation’s fastest-growing airline.”
Chris Hove, Chair of the Lincoln Airport Authority Board of Directors, added, “Each new destination strengthens Lincoln Airport’s position as an economic driver for the region. Breeze’s expansion is proof that our community is choosing to fly local and that choice is paying off.”
Flights will operate on Breeze’s modern Airbus A220-300 aircraft, featuring comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, and no change or cancel fees.
According to officials, a recent market study found:
- LNK captured 20% of all airline passengers in the region during the first quarter of 2025, up from 17% a year earlier.
- United Airlines increased average monthly flights by eight and added 381 more available seats per month compared to 2024.
- Average fares out of LNK dropped $20 each way, while fares at Omaha and Kansas City rose, making LNK a more competitive and convenient choice.
“Breeze is excited to expand its Lincoln service with this new route to Las Vegas and Orange County,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways founder and CEO. “Lincoln has shown tremendous support for Breeze, and we look forward to providing even more options for travelers in Nebraska moving forward.”
