Warm and Windy Thursday- COLD Weekend

Today: Warmer  temperatures across the state with highs in the 60s and 70s. South winds will ease by this evening, setting up a pleasant and warmer Thursday evening.

Friday: One more warm day! Temperatures warming into the 60s and 70s with gusty west winds up to 45 mph and plenty of sunshine.

Weekend: Saturday brings GUSTY NW winds up to 50 mph. There is a chance for some rain Saturday morning and afternoon as temperatures will be well above freezing. A blast of colder air arrives Saturday night into Sunday morning, bringing a chance for a wintry mix in northeast Nebraska. Temperatures will drop into the teens and 20s, with wind chill values near or in the single digits.

Saturday morning brings the best chance for rain across eastern Nebraska with temperatures in the 40s. By Saturday night, COLDER air filters in, possibly mixing in a few snowflakes across northeast Nebraska. NO accumulation is expected thanks to STRONG winds gusting 45+ mph and warmer ground temperatures. Expect temperatures to fall into the 20s with WIND CHILL values in the single digits through Sunday night.
