Man dies in apparent lawnmower accident in north Lincoln

Authorities say a 54-year-old man is dead after an apparent lawnmower accident in north Lincoln. 

The man was found underneath the lawnmower at a business at 4001 Industrial Avenue, off of North 27th and Superior Street, officials said. Crews were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. Friday. 

Officials are still investigating how the man wound up underneath the lawnmower, but authorities say it appears the man was mowing near a creek bed when the mower tipped and pinned him underneath. 

Foul play is not suspected. 

The man was an employee and lived on the grounds, officials said. 

Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity.
