Nebraska tops Kansas State, takes home Hall of Fame Classic title
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska men’s basketball team took home the Hall of Fame Classic title Friday night, beating Kansas State 86-85 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
With 1.1 seconds remaining in the game, Sam Hoiberg was fouled on a put-back attempt. He went 1-for-2 from the line to give the Huskers the win.

As a team, the Huskers shot 54% from the floor, compared with 44% for the Wildcats.
Sandfort led the Huskers with 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting, adding three rebounds and one assist.
Rienk Mast followed close behind with 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting. He also went 8-for-10 from the free-throw line and hauled in four boards.
Braden Frager tallied 16 points, and Hoiberg scored 13 points.
Jamarques Lawrence dished out a team-high five assists, and Berke Buyuktuncel led the team in rebounds with eight.
The Huskers will head back home for a four-game homestand.
Nebraska will face Winthrop on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
