Donations surpass last year’s numbers at second annual Channel 8 Coat Drive

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Channel 8’s second annual winter coat drive with the People’s City Mission was a hit across the capital city on Thursday.
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., cars filed through Channel 8’s parking lot, dropping off new or gently used coats for distribution at the mission’s help center.
The Lincoln community outdid itself, donating a total of 2,651 coats. In 2024, 2,409 coats were donated.
