LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Omaha man will spend several years behind bars for a shooting near Pinnacle Bank Arena in 2024.

Delshon Levering, 19, was sentenced in Lancaster County District Court on Thursday to 16 to 18 years in prison for second-degree assault.

Levering was initially facing first-degree assault and use of a firearm to commit a felony, but those charges were amended in a plea deal.

The shooting happened on Sept. 5 near Pinnacle Bank Arena as fans were leaving a Sexxy Red concert.

Police said Levering fired numerous shots, striking a 19-year-old in the arm.  He was not seriously injured.

The gunfire also hit a hotel window and a car that had three people inside, according to police.

Another man, Kashaun Lockett, was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in the shooting.
