A Mild and Dry Christmas Week
A well above average Monday afternoon ahead! Highs reaching the 60s and 70s, with breezy SW winds early before calming down by mid-afternoon. Plenty of sunshine all day across Nebraska.
SW winds will be breezy through late morning and relax gradually as the afternoon progresses. Not too bad for the second half of your Monday!
Temperatures this Holiday week will stay mild, ranging from 56–64° with mostly/partly sunny skies.
Precipitation-wise, the lower 48 looks to be above normal, while much of the eastern U.S. is expected to stay drier than average with limited precipitation chances. The first week of January could be the best chance for a good soak.
Christmas Eve features a warm ridge, with mild air pushing in from the south and cooler air to the west — leading to above-average temperatures.
Nation wide on Christmas Eve, temperatures look to be hot further south in the 70s and 80s and cooler towards the NW and NE in the 30s and 40s.

Our next big cold front comes Saturday, bringing temperatures back to near average Sunday. Precipitation chances through next week look to be slim. The next best chance for precipitation will be near January 1-3, 2026!
