Winter Weather Returns Sunday Morning

Sunday: Sunday morning rain may transition to sleet and light ice, eventually changing to light snow. The best chance for 1–2 inches of snow will be across northeast Nebraska and into Iowa. Strong winds and relatively warm surface temperatures will limit snow totals for many areas. Snow exits by Sunday afternoon, followed by COLD and BLUSTERY conditions lasting through Monday.

Monday: BUNDLE UP Monday morning as temperatures will feel 5-15 degrees below zero as the gusty winds continue and the arctic air settles in. There will be lots of sunshine Monday, but temperatures will stay in the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Tuesday and beyond: Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures warm back up into the 40s with breezy conditions. A clipper system moves by Thursday bringing more cold air. Average (37 degrees) temperatures continue through next weekend.
