Cold & Breezy Weekend, Warmer by Monday
This afternoon, temperatures across the state staying steady around 37-42 degrees. Breezy NW winds will also occur further west making for a blustery feel. Clouds will take over this afternoon, before clearing out overnight.
With clearing skies tonight, temperatures will feel colder and somewhat blustery as northwest winds increase ahead of our next cold front.
Light, blowing snow showers are possible Saturday morning and afternoon across central Nebraska. Gusty winds may lead to reduced visibility at times, especially for travelers. Light accumulations are expected, generally up to 0.1″+.
The best chance for minor snow accumulations through Saturday stretch from Valentine down to Columbus. This will be a light and fluffy snow as it falls.
Northwest winds will gust to near 35 mph across the state Saturday.
The middle of next week, some light precipitation chances could occur across the central plains. This means colder arctic air will also be filtering in.
Late next week, a surge of arctic air will try to move in, bringing temperatures down into the 30s and teens.
