Sandfort, Frager lead No. 8 Huskers past Oregon in dominant fashion

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 8-ranked Nebraska men’s basketball team throttled Oregon on Tuesday night, beating the Ducks 90-55 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
It was a back-and-forth start to the contest, but the Huskers ended the first half on a 14-2 run to take a decisive lead into the locker room.
Nebraska outscored Oregon 48-25 in the second half to bring home its 17th win of the season.
As a team, the Huskers shot 53% from the floor and 47% from beyond the arc. Oregon shot 42% from the floor and 26% from deep.
Pryce Sandfort led the Huskers with 28 points on 9-for-15 shooting. He also went 7-for-11 from deep.
Braden Frager was solid off the bench, scoring 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting while also going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc.
Sam Hoiberg scored 11 points to round out the double-digit scorers for Nebraska. Hoiberg also dished out a team-high five assists.
Jared Garcia pulled in a team-high five rebounds.
Nebraska will go back on the road for a matchup with Northwestern on Saturday.
