Lincoln woman sentenced on drug charges

A Lincoln woman will spend time in federal prison after being sentenced on drug distribution charges.
On Monday, a judge sentenced Vanessa D. Pinkney, 33, of Lincoln, to ten years for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture and an unspecified amount of marijuana.
A search warrant at the Lincoln residence of Pinkney’s co-defendant turned up approximately 2.5 pounds of meth and 2.5 pounds of marijuana, authorities said.
Pinkney told authorities her co-defendant, Herbert Kinchen, was her boyfriend and that she did not live at the residence with him.
Kinchen has also entered a guilty plea and is scheduled for sentencing in July of 2019.
