Dangerous cold cancels classes for Lincoln Public Schools on Friday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Public Schools has canceled classes on Friday due to the forecasted dangerous temperatures.
According to the Channel 8 Storm Alert Team, wind chills are forecasted to be as low as -20 to -30 degrees on Friday morning.

All LPS buildings will be closed to outside reservations, and all non-LPS sponsored activites scheduled in their school buildings are canceled.
Some high school events and practices may proceed as scheduled. Check with your high school to verify the status.
