Cord attached to 75-gallon fish tank light to blame for Lincoln house fire

Fire inspectors believe an electrical cord running to a light on a 75-gallon fish tank is to blame for a fire at a Lincoln home.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the home near 14th and Sioux Street around 3:20 Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters saw a haze coming from the basement and were able to put the fire out quickly.

Estimated damage to the home is $5,000.

No one was injured in the fire.
