Former Nebraska corrections officer charged with sexual abuse of inmate

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A former Scotts Bluff County corrections officer was arrested after an investigation into a reported incident involving an inmate.

On Thursday, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested 55-year-old Christopher Schlosser of Scottsbluff on suspicion of sexual abuse of an inmate. The arrest occurred at Schlosser’s home.

On Oct. 13, Schlosser resigned his position at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center, shortly after being placed on administrative leave pending investigation.

The incident was reported to the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, which has been working with NSP throughout the investigation.

The Scotts Bluff County Detention Center also assisted in this investigation.

Schlosser was lodged at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
