UPDATE: Fourth person arrested in Jessica Brandon homicide case

UPDATE:

On Thursday, Lincoln police, along with the FBI and U.S. Marshals, arrested a fourth person in the Jessica Brandon homicide case.

LPD said 33–year–old Ira Morrow was identified in video surveillance from the night before Jessica was killed.

Law enforcement said he conspired in the attempted robbery of her home in the Belmont area.

Lincoln police said the public was crucial in helping identify morrow from surveillance video they released to the media.

“We want to extend our appreciation to all the citizens, the businesses and the general public who have assisted by providing information and evidence to our officers,” Chief Jeff Bliemeister said.

Morrow was in federal court Thursday.  He’s been charged with attempted interference with interstate commerce and faces up to 20 years in prison.

Dante and Damon Williams and Tawhyne Patterson are accused of breaking into Jessica’s home on July 31st, the night she was killed.

Police said it was in an attempt to steal drugs and money from Jessica’s boyfriend.

Local law enforcement had already said the break in was not a random act.

“Investigative details have established that the invasion into the home and the deplorable violence that followed was not random.”

Prosecutors said the three men and Morrow were caught on camera casing Jessica’s home the night before her death.

Morrow has pleaded not guilty.

The judge offered no bond, saying he was a flight risk, and set his next court date for June.

Authorities say a fourth person has been arrested in connection to the murder of a Lincoln woman. 

Lincoln Police say Ira Morrow, 33, of Lincoln, was arrested Tuesday for conspiracy to commit robbery.

Morrow was identified as the fourth person in the video surveillance from the night before the homicide. The video was previously released to media and investigators received tips which assisted in identifying Morrow.

Damon and Dante Williams and Tawhyne Patterson are accused of the murder of Jessica Brandon, a 36-year-old Lincoln mother.
