Lincoln man sentenced to 14 years in prison on meth charges

A Lincoln man was sentenced to more than a decade in federal prison on drug charges.
United States Attorney Joe Kelly announced that on April 12, 2019, Jose L. Gonzalez, 28, of Lincoln, was sentenced to 14 years for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture. Following the prison term, Gonzalez will serve five years on supervised release.
Gonzalez was accused of distributing about three pounds of the meth mixture in the Lincoln area between 2015 and 2017.
Authorities say he admitted to using and sell the drug during a traffic stop with Lincoln Police.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
