Family of homicide victims speak out while search for suspect continues

Randal and Annette grimes lived a quite life in Douglas, Nebraska but Saturday morning that all changed.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol around 6 a.m., 36–year–old Brindar Jangir from Sioux City gunned down the couple in their home.
They were found by an Otoe County Sheriff’s deputy who went to check on a 911 call from the home.
Court documents obtained by the Associated Press say the couple were the parents of Jangir’s former girlfriend.
The documents also reveal he threatened to kill his former girlfriend’s parents if she ever left him.
Three warrants are out for Jangir’s arrest, two for first degree murder and one for a stolen shotgun, which NSP says they believe was used to commit both murders.
Sioux City police told us, Jangir may be driving a four door red Honda Accord with Iowa license plate GHW–345.
Investigators don’t believe he’s still in the area, but are asking people to remain vigilant and call 911 if you spot him.
We spoke to several family members of the Grimes who all said they were shocked at the news.
One cousin told us Randal and Annette “They were the kindest people in the world. They would do anything for anybody. Fun loving and happy couple and we are devastated to have lost them.”
The couple’s son Jesse several photos with us of the couple from Christmas and one from early on in their marriage. He said the family is grateful for the outpouring of support but says they’re asking for privacy during this difficult time.
Jesse said they plan to have a candlelight vigil for their parents Wednesday night outside their Douglas home at sunset. The address is 100 Otoe Street Douglas, NE 68344.
There is a memorial fund set up at Adams State Bank for the family. If you would like to donate checks and cash can be dropped off at the bank which is located at 649 Main St, Adams, NE 68301.
