Half a dozen storage units broken into in northeast Lincoln

UPDATE: We spoke with the regional manager for StorageMart who says security measures have been put back in place and their facility was resecured the day they were informed of the break-in.
StorageMart says they are working to contact the customers who have been affected, but they want to reassure customers their property is secure.
Lincoln Police are searching for the suspect who broke into a storage facility in northeast Lincoln and cut locks on several storage units.
It happened at StorageMart off Cornhusker Highway and North 56th Street in northeast Lincoln.
The first report of a storage unit that was broken into came in on Sunday, January 13th just before 6:30 p.m. Several more break-ins were reported over the week.
LPD Captain Farber says the suspect entered the lot of the storage facility and cut the locks of six individual units and one lock was cut off a camper.
A generator was missing from the camper and items from each storage unit were stolen.
Police do not have any suspects at this time and are working to contact the individuals whose storage units were affected.
