South winds will be breezy this afternoon. Peak gusts by Tuesday evening could reach 25-35 mph. RED FLAG WARNINGS are in effect for western Nebraska starting Wednesday morning.
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER will occur across the state Wednesday-Thursday morning.
Today starts our warm and windy trend. A hot and sunny Wednesday. Thursday night, a cold front moves through making for a much cooler Friday. The weekend is shaping up nicely, but on the breezy side. Next week brings much needed moisture and rain chances across Nebraska. We could see some MARGINAL severe weather Monday night- Tuesday night.
