UPDATE: Stolen vehicle recovered, woman arrested

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have arrested a woman after stealing a car and leading police on several short chases.
Police say 20-year-old Molly Jo Taylor stole a 2004 white Chevy Monte Carlo from the U-Stop near 21st and K Streets around 11 p.m. Friday night.
Officers spotted the car several times overnight Friday into Saturday, which lead to several short pursuits that were all terminated out of safety concerns.
Saturday afternoon just before 3 p.m. several citizens spotted the stolen car and called police.
LPD found Taylor in the car, which had broken down, and arrested her.
A stolen car lead Lincoln Police on a short chase early Saturday morning.
According to police a man left his 2004 white Chevy Monte Carlo running while he ran into the U-Stop near 21st and K Streets around 11 p.m. Friday night.
While the man was inside someone jumped in the car that was left running and unlocked and took off.
Police spotted the stolen vehicle near 9th and D Streets around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
The stolen vehicle lead police on a short pursuit, which LPD ended out of safety concerns for other drivers.
At this time police do not have any suspects and are still searching for the car.
