Windy & Cooler Thursday Afternoon
Northwest winds will be windy through tonight. Peak gusts through Thursday night could reach 40-45 mph across eastern Nebraska.
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER will continue this afternoon and through the weekend.
Cheering on the Huskers tonight? Have a jacket handy. Temperatures dropping into the 20s & 30s with strong NE winds 20-30 mph. A blustery feel across eastern Nebraska. GBR!!
This afternoon, a cold front moves through making for a much cooler & breezy Friday. The weekend is shaping up nicely, but on the breezy side. Next week brings much needed moisture and rain chances across eastern Nebraska. We could see some MARGINAL severe weather Monday night into Wednesday and Thursday. Keeping an eye on next Wednesday and Thursday as models hint at a strong cold front bringing potential severe weather and even snow out west.
