Man robbed in downtown Lincoln

Lincoln Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a man in downtown Lincoln Friday afternoon.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. near 9th and O Streets.

Police say an 18-year-old man was walking when he was confronted by a man who demanded he hand over whatever he had on him.

The suspect never displayed a weapon, but according to police the suspect had his hand in his waistband making the victim think he had one.

The 18-year-old handed over his birth certificate and the suspect ran off.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his 30’s, about five-foot-six, and a medium build.
