Man arrested after Jefferson County Sheriff finds vehicle in pasture

On the date of December 1, 2018, Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 17th and B St. located just outside of the city limits of Fairbury Nebraska in reference to a vehicle in a pasture.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputies made contact with a 26-year-old Jared D Schroeder.
Upon investigation into the matter, it was determined that Schroeder and a female passenger had gotten their vehicle stuck in the pasture.
It was also determined at the scene that Schroeder had an active warrant out of Gage County Nebraska.
Schroeder was taken into custody at this time and upon searching his person a suspected 2 grams of methamphetamine was recovered out of his front pocket.
Schroeder admitted that he had the methamphetamine to sell and was arrested for the Gage County Warrant as well as Driving Under Suspension and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, that substance being methamphetamine.
Schroeder was later set a bond of 10% of 15,000.
The female party was released from the scene.
