UPDATE: Travel conditions slowly improving, travel still not advised

Road conditions continue to improve across the state as crews work to clear roadways.

The NE 511 map shows roads in and around Lincoln and for much of the state completely covered in snow as indicated by the pink lines.

Roads near Omaha are partially covered in snow as indicated by the blue lines.

Green lines as shown in the northeast corner of the state indicate wet pavement.

Interstate I-80 is partially snow covered across much of the state. 

Traffic cameras show I-80 near North 27th Street in Lincoln show most of the roadway clear, but blowing snow is leaving parts of the road covered.

Traffic cameras along westbound I-80 indicate much of the same. Near York the roadway is partially covered in snow and in Milford the wind and snow are so bad the roadway is hard to make out.

Crews across the state are still working to clear roadways, but still advise drivers to stay home as strong winds and snow are still making the roads slick.
