Stranger reunites Lincoln girl with lost stuffed bunny

Eight–year–old Libby Wilson doesn’t go anywhere without her stuffed bunny.
That is until bunny got lost while Libby was visiting her grandparents in England over the summer.
“We finally got to the hotel, then at night Libby at night went ‘ahh I don’t have bunny,’ so I was thinking oh no what, where and we just couldn’t figure out where he was,” said Claudia Wilson, Libby’s mom.
The family tore apart the rental car and hotel room in a desperate search for the stuffed animal, but bunny was nowhere to be found.
A devastated Libby flew back home to Nebraska without her beloved toy.
Weeks went by and Claudia tried to keep her daughter’s mind off the missing bunny, even getting her a new stuffed animal, but nothing could replace bunny, but that’s when Libby had the idea to write a letter to Santa.
“I asked him to do an all around the world search like if he was delivering Christmas presents to everybody, except he was looking for bunny everywhere,” Libby said.
Claudia posted her daughter’s plea on Facebook asking everyone to help find the missing stuffed animal.
A Lincoln woman named Denise saw Claudia’s post and reached out saying she knew exactly where bunny was.
“She said Santa has seen your letter band found bunny and he wanted me to bring it to you,” Claudia said.
Denise had run into Santa while on vacation in California. Santa told her he had found bunny, cleaned her up in his workshop, and asked Denise if she could take bunny back home to Lincoln to give to Libby.
After returning home Denise surprised Libby with her beloved bunny, even showing her pictures of her and Santa in California.
The overjoyed eight-year-old only had one thing to say to Santa’s special helper, ” I want to say thank you.”
The return of bunny, nothing short of an early Christmas miracle.
