Nebraska takes down Creighton in return home to Haymarket Park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball fended off Creighton 5-4, taking down their rival for the second time this season.
The Huskers defeated their in-state rival 6-5 two weeks ago.

Nebraska found themselves down 3-0 after the first inning, and 4-0 after two.
In the bottom of the second inning, the Huskers cut the lead in half, scoring two runs.
The Big Red found a groove in the third inning, scoring three runs and taking a 5-4 lead.

The Huskers held on to that lead to secure their first series win over Creighton since 2017.

Nebraska will return to Hawks Field this Friday to host No. 12 USC at 6:00 p.m.
