Eleven-year-old Lincoln girl killed in crashed in MO, two siblings in critical condition

This was the scene Tuesday night just after midnight on Route 13 in Bolivar, Missouri, just outside of Springfield.
40–Year–old Maria Borland of Lincoln was driving a Suburban with her seven children inside when she veered off the road, before over-correcting and loosing control, causing the SUV to roll several times.
“Steve and Maria have seven kids between them and they did lose precious Eliza who was 11-years-old as a result of the car accident,” said Stephanie Remus, the administrative director at Capitol City Church.
Two other teenage boys were ejected and had to be airlifted from the scene with life–threatening injuries.
Maria and four other kids whose ages range from 11 to 17 were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Borland family has been actively involved at Capitol City Church in Northeast Lincoln for over a decade.
Several church members have gone to be with the family in Missouri, and those here are remembering young Eliza.
“very happy. She volunteered here at our vacation bible school this year as a table leader with little kids. My son had her, she helped with crafts, she helped them learn how much Jesus loves them, she knew the lord, she was a very happy child.”
Maria heads up a free clothing donation at the church along with her husband Steve and the family is also involved in several other programs.
Now the church is coming together to help the family.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for the families medical expenses.
Despite the extremely difficult times Remus says the family is leaning on their faith, “They are facing a tragedy knowing their god is carrying them through this.”
The two sons are still in critical condition, but have been transported to St. Louis for more extensive treatment.
