Nebraska basketball transfer Berke Buyuktuncel commits to Vanderbilt

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska basketball transfer Berke Buyuktuncel announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Friday.

The 6-foot-9 forward started 33 of 35 games for Nebraska last season, averaging 6.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He also led NU with 34 blocked shots.

A native of Turkey, Buyuktuncel transferred to Nebraska from UCLA ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Not even one month ago, Berke helped Nebraska to a thrilling victory over Vanderbilt in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
