Lincoln Police investigating early morning shooting

Lincoln Police are investigating an early morning shooting. 

It happened near 18th and E Streets around 2 a.m. Sunday morning. 

Officers were dispatched to the area after reports of a 20-year-old female had been shot in the leg. She was taken to the hospital before officers arrived on scene. 

According to LPD the victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her leg.

Officers are still on scene investigating what lead up to the shooting.
