Nebraska Softball wins Big Ten tournament title

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —The Huskers buried the Bruins Saturday, defeating UCLA 7-2 to secure the 2026 Big Ten tournament title.
No. 2 Nebraska earned their second ever tournament title in program history. Although, it’s the first time they’ve won both the Big Ten regular season, and tournament title in the same season.
UCLA was the first team to get on the board Saturday. The Bruins tacked on an RBI single in the second. Then, in the top of the third Megan Carter hit her 38th home run of the year, setting a new NCAA single season record.
The Huskers took their first lead of the day in the bottom of the third on a three RBI Hannah Camenzind single.
Nebraska never gave the lead back.
Both Ava Kuszak and Kacie Hoffman hit a pair of home runs in the fourth, and sixth innings.
Jordy Frahm pitched a complete 7.0 innings with eight strikeouts, one earned run, and allowed five hits on the day.
With the latest victory, the huskers extend their winning streak to 21 games.
Nebraska will see where their NCAA tournament seeding is on Sunday, at the NCAA Softball Selection Show. It’s set to air at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
The Huskers will host a watch party for fans with players and coaches at Bowlin Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m.
