Warm Weather Kicks off the Work Week
Several warm and breezy afternoons are on the way for the upcoming work week. Humidity is expected to remain low, which will likely keep us dry for the next couple of days.
The latest runs of StormCast keep us dry for Monday and into Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies.
Low temperatures late Sunday and into Monday morning will be close to average, in the middle to upper 40s.
A few passing clouds tonight in the Capital City, though winds are expected to remain light for any last-minute Mother’s Day plans.
As winds pick up on Monday and temperatures trend warmer, the risk of fire weather will increase for central Nebraska. A Red Flag Warning is in place from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday.
Temperatures warm up alongside a strong southwesterly wind on Monday afternoon. Highs are expected to be above average, in the mid-80s for most.
We are looking at a warm start to the week in Lincoln, with most of Monday afternoon spent in the 80s.
Strong winds will join the warmer weather in the Capital City, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour possible on Monday afternoon.
Highs continue in the 80s before another warm up for the end of the work week. A few small chances for precipitation remain in the forecast, though agreement between long-range models remains scarce.
