Another earthquake reported in south-central Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A small earthquake was reported near Cowles, Nebraska, on Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a magnitude 2.8 earthquake just before 9:45 p.m. about 4 miles east of Cowles. The agency said the quake’s depth was about 3 miles.

According to the USGS ‘Did You Feel It?’ index, the intensity of the earthquake was a level III, which means little to no shaking.

Multiple earthquakes were felt near the same area in March.
