Lincoln Police are still searching for the suspect in Monday’s attempted kidnapping and now they’re looking for another suspect who tried to lure a teen into his car last month.
LPD says this white SUV approached a 15–year–old girl while she was walking near 19th and A Streets in late May.
Officials say the suspect asked the teen to get in the vehicle.
She told the driver no and walked away, but the suspect followed her into an alley, and asked the girl to get in again.
She was able to walk away unharmed.
The driver is described as a late 20’s to 30’s year–old Hispanic male wearing a gray shirt, blue or black hat, with a gotee.
Police are urging you to talk with your child about being aware of your surroundings.
"Speak to your children, warn them about stranger danger. Common sense things like looking for an adult nearby who can help, yelling and running away, not approaching strangers if a car slows down and asks for directions or help locating their dog, things an adult wouldn’t approach a child for," said officer Angela Sands.
In the most recent attempted kidnapping, a suspect approached a 14–year–old girl in a neighborhood near 31st and Old Cheney.
That suspect is described as a white male with white hair and a stubby beard. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants, black Adidas shoes, and driving a black sedan.
