Two MV Hondius passengers sent to Atlanta transferred to National Quarantine Unit in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The two MV Hondius passengers who were sent to Atlanta for further testing have been moved to the National Quarantine Unit in Omaha, health officials said on Friday.
According to Nebraska Medicine, the two individuals arrived in Omaha this afternoon, bringing the total number of quarantined patients to 18.
The two individuals had been at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta since the passengers arrived from the Canary Islands on Monday.

Health officials said the two individuals were medically cleared to transition to the NQU.
On Monday, Emory University Hospital said that, of the two cruise ship passengers now at its Serious Communicable Diseases Unit, one is symptomatic and is “receiving care in Emory’s biocontainment unit.”
