Man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after getting shot in southeast Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting in southeast Lincoln.

Around 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were sent to a home in the area of 55th and Franklin streets on the report that someone had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, who said an unknown person had kicked in his door and shot him.

LPD said the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the police department, no arrests have been made at this time, and there is no threat to the public.
