Nebraska softball dominates Oklahoma State in Game 1 of NCAA Super Regional

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 4-ranked Nebraska softball team made a statement in its NCAA Super Regional opener, beating No. 13 Oklahoma State 8-1 at Bowlin Stadium.
After severe weather forced the postponement of Game 1 on Thursday night, the Huskers came out on Friday with scorching hot bats.
As a team, Nebraska racked up 12 hits and committed zero errors, while Oklahoma State had five hits and committed three errors.
Throughout the regional, Nebraska’s offense only produced 7 runs in three games. The Huskers scored 7 runs in the first three innings of the super regional.
Jesse Farrell led the Huskers from the plate, going 2-for-4 with five RBIs and a home run. She also scored 2 runs.
Jordy Frahm, Hannah Camenzind, Ava Kuszak and Samantha Bland each had two hits as well.
Frahm pitched all seven innings in the circle, allowing five hits, walking two batters, and fanning seven.
Nebraska is now only one win away from its ninth Women’s College World Series berth, and its first since 2013.
