Huskers punch their ticket to the WCWS, taking down Oklahoma State in the super regionals

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Softball is cruising to the Women’s College World Series. The Huskers took down Oklahoma State 9-1 in game two of the super regional, sweeping the Cowgirls in both games.
Alexis Jensen got the start Saturday, and finished 4 IP, allowing just two hits, and and one run.
Oklahoma State scored their only run in the first inning.
After three innings of play, Nebraska took their first lead 2-1. Then, the offense exploded in the top of the fifth inning. Nebraska scored seven runs and five hits, including a three run-HR by Lauren Camenzind.
Once Nebraska was in front 9-1, Jordy Frahm came into close the fifth inning and seal the deal.
This is Nebraska’s first WCWS appearance since 2013.
The Huskers improve to 51-6, and extend the nations longest active winning streak to 26 games.
