Daylight saving time safe from any changes for now
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — After nearly a year of discussions involving the end of daylight saving time, the House voted to make the time changes permanent.
The bill passed in a 308-117 vote.
Nebraska Rep. Adrian Smith said he listened to his constituents.
“Tonight, I voted to make daylight saving time permanent—a position many of my constituents have urged me to take,” said Smith. “I look forward to continuing to engage with my constituents to ensure that their voices are reflected in every vote I cast.”
The bill is now in the hands of the Senate for further discussion.
