LPS offers EV charging stations at 10 district sites
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) offers electrical vehicle (EV) charging stations at district sites.
The grant funding from Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy and Lincoln Electric System allowed LPS to install seven EV stations in 2020. As of 2026, there are 10 district sites.
The EV charging stations provide economic and environmental benefits, according to LPS. 56,000 kg of greenhouse gas emissions have been avoided due to the stations.
There is a charge to use the EV charging stations and they are open to the public.
