Boy taken to hospital after being hit by car in west Lincoln

A young boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Tuesday morning in west Lincoln. 

Crews responded to the call around 8:25 a.m. near South Coddington Avenue and West A Street. 

Dispatchers said the boy suffered a broken leg. Police on scene said the boy’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. 

Officers said it appeared the boy walked into the street from behind a car when he was hit.
