LPS teachers honored at “Thank You Teacher” event

Several Lincoln Public Schools teachers were honored at a special event on Tuesday.

It was all for the annual “Thank You Teacher” event. Five teachers were selected among 500 nominations for the honor. Students throughout the community wrote about how a favorite teacher has impacted their lives.

Valerie Bergo, a counselor at Irving Middle School, was one of those honored. 

“We’re in it because we love kids. And because we want to see kids be successful and be young adults that will take over,” said Bergo.
