Wife of Chiefs offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, shot by their son

ASHBURN, Va. (KLKN) — Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, suffered multiple gunshot wounds Sunday evening. The couple’s son, 27-year-old Elijah Zion Bieniemy, was arrested for the shooting.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. on July 26.

Mia Bieniemy, 57, is hospitalized in stable condition after sustaining serious injuries, according to ESPN. ‘

According to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Elijah Zion Bieniemy was charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and discharge of a firearm inside of a dwelling.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing.
