Lincoln Police Department featured in 8-year-old’s ‘Wall of Heroes’ in Italy

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is being displayed on an 8-year-old’s wall in Italy, showcased in his ‘Wall of Heroes’.

A father, Roberto, from northern Italy contacted LPD this month. Roberto explained his son, Damiano, has been courageous through his journey with Type 1 diabetes.

Damiano’s family created the ‘Wall of Heroes‘ to inspire him on his toughest days.

LPD sent patches, challenge coins and a personal letter from Chief Michon Morrow.

LPD said being represented on Damiano’s wall is a reminder of the human side of service and the bonds that form.

Damiano’s family shared a social media post stating that LPD represents the very best of law enforcement.
