Former Nebraska forecaster Kent Boughton funeral details announced
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — On July 26, Kent Boughton passed away after battling lung cancer. Boughton was a former Channel 8 forecaster, along with many other news organizations throughout Nebraska.
Boughton’s funeral arrangements have been announced.
His celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Livestreaming will be available on the church’s Facebook page.
The visitation will be at the same church from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 31, and the burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cairo.
Boughton’s obituary states the words that are Kent’s legacy are ‘The good always outweighs the bad’.
