DHHS announced new dashboard to inform the public throughout RHTP

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Dashboard. The dashboard will give stakeholders and the public information throughout the RHTP progress.

The RHTP is a program to improve health care in rural areas. Nebraska received $218.5 million out of $50 billion for the first year of the program.

DHHS said this is a step towards transparency.

“We are excited to launch the RHTP Dashboard as another step toward transparency and responsible stewardship in how we invest in the health of Nebraskans. This tool gives our partners and the public a clear view of where funding is going and how resources are being distributed across the various sectors that influence rural health,” said Ashley Newmyer, DHHS Director of Public Health. “By making this information accessible, we are reinforcing our commitment to ensuring these resources are creating meaningful, lasting impact for communities across Nebraska.”

The dashboard has three main areas; awarded, facility and license type and data notes and references. Each area provides different information. The areas are meant to make access easier and clear.
