Car crashes into Lincoln Station Great Hall building while fleeing troopers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A vehicle crashed into the Lincoln Station Great Hall building after failing to stop for Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) troopers. NSP troopers attempted a traffic stop before the driver fled.
NSP troopers said the vehicle was traveling the wrong way down Q Street before turning the wrong way down 10th Street.
Ultimately, the car turned on P Street and continued straight into the building.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue (LFR) arrived on scene and provided medical attention to the driver and passenger. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to LFR, they did not believe there was not any structural damage to the building.
Troopers with NSP said the driver will likely be cited with driving under the influence, felony flee to avoid and possession of a deadly weapon during a felony.
