Dense fog early Thursday, warming back up

After a cool couple of days, the summer heat is going to return by the end of the week. Storm chances start to increase, as well.

Thursday will start off with some dense fog through the early morning hours. Visibility may drop below 1 mile in spots.

The added cloud cover from the fog should limit the warming we’re able to see. Upper 70s and lower 80s for afternoon highs are expected. It’ll be a lot warmer in the panhandle.

Storms are possible Thursday evening in the western half of the state. This storm will be moving from northwest to southeast before dying out after sunset.

There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe weather with the storms that do form. Hail and damaging wind are the main concerns.

After Thursday, the 90s come back all the way through early next week.
