LSO releases results from the Speed Catches Up With You nationwide mobilization
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office released the results of the Speed Catches Up With You, a nationwide mobilization sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
The mobilization occurred from July 27 to Aug. 8. Additional deputies in marked cruisers were scheduled during that time in Lancaster County.
The deputies involved in Lancaster County contacted 189 vehicles, arrested one person on an outstanding warrant and issued 151 traffic citations and 90 warning/defect card.
Of the official citations, 105 were for speeding, two were for driving during suspension, two were for ignition interlock violations, two for stop sign violations, five for traffic signal violations, 22 for registration and insurance violations and 13 for various traffic law violations.
